Cerita Narnia di mulai dari pembentukan hingga hari akhir dunia tersebut, terutama mengarah kepada seseorang (manusia) yang masuk ke dalam dunia Narnia, yang biasanya masih kanak-kanak.Adalah empat bersaudara Pevensie yang memulai petualangan tersebut. Peter, Susan, Edmund, dan Lucy. Saudara sepupu mereka, Eustace Scrubb, turut meramaikan suasana novel Narnia bersama teman sekolahnya, Jill Pole, dalam petulangan ke Tanah Liar di Utara.
